In some cars, when usingthe Programmable Ignition, you may find that the ignition trigger exhibits a type of stiction effect, with the timing initially failing to advance from about 0 - 5°. This effect is due to the coil firing just before the trigger signal (due to the advance setting) and the resulting high-tension signal within the distributor then interfering with the normal operation of the trigger sensor.
