I still have my first personal computer an Apple lie. It sits in my basement and would probably start up once I removed the dust. My latest personal computer is an Apple iPad. In between those computers run a host of systems from Radio Shack, Dell, Gateway, Hewlett-Packard and other vendors.Tied into the history of those computers is the legacy of two executives who have removed themselves from active participation in the companies they founded: Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. Gates is the driven executive who's long on business intellect and short on design and revolutionary technology vision. He saw the value of divorcing the software from the hardware to create a technology ecosystem where software developers and hardware manufacturers could prosper.
