New York-listed Ensco has ordered two high-spec jack-ups, ENSCO 140 and ENSCO 141, from Sharjah-based rig builder Lamprell Energy. The two jack-ups are significantly enhanced versions of the LeTourneau Super 116E design, with a scheduled delivery in mid-2016 and two options attached to the order. Total cost is estimated at $215M each, which includes commissioning, systems integration testing, and project management. ENSCO 140 and ENSCO 141 will initially be outfitted to work in water depths up to 100m and may be upgraded to 12 0m. The two jack-ups will be capable of drilling to a maximum total depth of 9,000m.
