Spanish shipbuilding's technological progress in the smaller vessel categories was underlined during 2009 by the delivery of a dynamic-positioning, diesel-electric, multi-role offshore support ship that gave new dimension to Astilleros Balenciaga's capabilities. The 86m Adams Challenge has been purpose-designed for the owner to cover a wide range of operations, including diving and subsea survey support, ROV deployment, cable laying and offshore construction and maintenance.
