The increasing attraction of owning ice-class vessels hasseen some countries not normally associated with their construction getting in on the act. The latest of the newcomers isrnBangladesh, which at the end of July saw two 5,200dwt general cargo ships launched at the Western Marine Shipyard in Chittagong. As well as being Bangladesh'sfirst ice-class ships, they arernthe largest vessels ever built there.
