A dispute between hydrographic offices over the licensing arrangements for electronic navigation charts (ENCs) and the due date for payments has delayed rollout of Datema's ENCTrack service, which was launched at Nor-Shipping.rnSubscribers to ENCTrack, which is compatible with any available ECDIS system and complies with worldwide ECDIS 2012 regulations, were to have been provided with a global folio of ENC permits valid for two months, allowingrnvessels to install all available ENCs on to its ECDIS. Once entered into the ENCTrack system, the vessel would be tracked at minimum intervals of 1.5 hours.Should the vessel enter cells outside its licence, those cells would be registered automatically with Primar and the charged accordingly.
