Over the last few decades, ro-pax vessels have been involved in serious accidents that resulted in large numbers of casualties. Although ro-pax vessels that are built today are much safer than their predecessors, a modern ship could still capsize if it were involved in a severe accident such as a high-speed collision, and abandoning ship for any reason, whether it is collision damage or fire, is a risky operation. Solutions looks at a swedish project aimed at improving safety even more.
