The UK's transport secretary,Chris Grayling, has announced that a team of industry experts will advise the government on a new strategy to secure the future of the UK maritime sector.Grayling launched Maritime 2050, which will "make the most of future opportunities forthe nation's maritime industries to thrive".On the agenda will be autonomous ships and digital ports, said a statement, which also called for those in the maritime sector and those outside of shipping to offer their views in a call for evidence that will close by 16 May.
