30 March 2019: The day after Brexit. The United Kingdom (UK) is no longer a member of the European Union (EU), the single market, or the customs union. With no new trade agreement in place and no deal on a transition period, the free movement of people, goods, services, and capital has come to an abrupt halt. Flights between the UK and the EU have been cancelled. Container ships are delayed at ports on both sides of the English Channel.
