The Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA) has named Sabrina Sih Ming Chao as its Commodore for 2018. Chao, the executive chairman of Hong Kong's Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings, will be bestowed with the honour at the CMA conference on 14 March. The daughter of George Chao and granddaughter of T.Y. Chao, Sabrina Chao is a third-generation owner and chairman of Wah Kwong after joining the family business in 2002 following stints with Tanker International, Britannia P&l, and Bureau Veritas. She also served as chairperson of the Hong Kong Shipping Association through November 2017.
