Mexican oil major Pemex has suffered another multibillion-dollar quarterly loss and reported a further production slide. Its poor results highlight the diminishing importance of Mexico to its primary crude buyer, the United States. However, Mexico's impact on global tanker demand is more nuanced and not as wholly negative as it might first appear.
