German chemical/products tanker operator Carl Buttner is expanding its operations in the northern European products trade by adding two charter vessels from fellow Bremen-based owner Sloman Neptun. It has fixed the 16,500 dwt Handysize chemical/products tankers Sloman Hera and Sloman Hermes, each for a two-year period plus 12-month option at a private rate it said was in line with market levels, plus a performance-based, profit-sharing arrangement. The ships had been part of the Navigate-managed Brizo8 pool that operates in the global spot market.
