The Colombian government's decision to bar offshore coal loading, using floating cranes as at Puerto Drummond and other ports in the region, has taken effect, with implications for Panamax and Capesize vessel loadings. The legal situation at the Drummond port is still unclear and, in the meantime, data from AISLive confirms loading operations continued at least until 12 January in spite of an order to stop from Corporacion Autonoma de Magdalena (Corpomag), the environmental authority for the Department of Magdalena, in which the Drummond port is situated.
