Recovery in many shipping freight markets has been elusive this year, but the Oslo Stock Exchange has had a good start in terms of equity issues by shipping companies. The high-yield bond market has returned to the good times, too, but marker players warn that in the short term these two trends might part ways. "Some people are worried about the recovery, as order-books have expanded quite substantially in a short period of time," said Frode Morkedal, shipping analyst at RS Platou Markets, referring to the equity issue market. "We need to see spot freight rates up again."
