Ulstein's success with the X-Bow has sparked considerable interest in hull design from other designers in Norway hoping to emulate Ulstein's achievements. The Twin-Bow is the brainchild of Stian Teige, an entrepreneur based in Alesund, the headquarters of the More maritime cluster on Norway's west coast. Although Teige has a background in the maritime sector, he is not a professional designer. His experience has been in sales, notably for Rolls-Royce Marine and Seaonics. Hull design was "just an interest", he said.
