Outlook: Global bunker prices maintained a positive trend last week. The BW380 index ended its downward spiral and rallied to close the week at $614.50/tonne. The BW180 index replicated this trend, ending at $643.50/tonne. The BWDI (distillates) rose sharply by $9.00/tonne and closed at $945.50/tonne. In Singapore, 380 centistokes (cSt) intermediate fuel oil (IFO) prices traded down during the first half of the week, before recovering during the latter half. Despite a sharp decrease at the beginning of the week, the grade closed up at $591.50/tonne. Marine gas oil (MGO) prices were volatile, dropping sharply on Monday before recovering to $906.50/tonne on Friday.
