Key decision: "When the dry bulk ship market was on a steep rise, many companies moved towards spot and short-term contracts, focusing on near-term profits. But I sought long-term contracts with several resource majors, although at the time their profitability was considered weak. It turned out that these contracts have become stable sources of profit for the iron ore carrier segment of MOL. I think the judgement, which took our business strategies into account rather than going with the trends of the time, has been justified."
