摘要

Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL), Japan's biggest shipowner, sees growth potential in Singapore. In April the company shifted a large part of its dry bulk business to Singapore, where a substantial number of its tanker businesses are also based. MOL senior managing executive officer Kenichi Nagata, who oversees the company's coal and iron ore carrier division, told Vairplay about his outlook for the market. "One of the main reasons for establishing MOL Cape and MOL Bulk Carriers in Singapore is that many of our charterers, such as Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton and Vale, have offices there," he said.
