For US-listed owners with capital access, the newbuilding push began with 'eco' product tankers, container ships and LNG carriers. Dry bulk orders followed, but crude was noticeably absent from the party. No more. In what could mark a tipping point, NYSE-listed owners have announced a flurry of VLCC orders in South Korea, equating to an aggregate investment of up to $930M.
