Szczecin-based Odra Trans is to launch on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE). Its intentions to expand were boosted in late 2011 by 60M zloty ($ 17.1M) from a private bond issue. Buyers were investment and pension funds. During that process, Odra Trans official Magdalena Gonciarz-Golebiewska told Fairplay, the funds expressed an interest "in acquiring our shares in the future". Adding that the bourse entry is intended to raise cash for the development of OdraTrans's logistics operations in the inland waterway areas in which it's active, Gonciarz-Golebiewska said the flotation would "only confirm our strong position in the market and the fact that Odra Trans is not afraid of competition".
