The Barreras shipyard at the port of Vigo in Spain has set the stakes high in presenting a plan for its reactivation and a return to a profitable footing. The yard, which has been out of operation since July last year following delivery of its last ship, has invited its creditors to give up no less than 95% of their claims on the yard - estimated at €74.1M ($98.3M) - and the 135-strong permanent workforce to accept a 40% reduction in numbers and wage cuts ranging from 21 % to 81 %.
