Thuraya, the mobile satellite operator working across EMEA and APAC regions, has elected a new board of directors that will be led by chairman Mohammad Hassan Omran from Etisalat and CEO Khalid Ahmed Balkheyour from Arabsat. Thuraya has appointed two independent directors: former Inmarsat chief operating officer Michael Butler, and Charles Moore, who heads Lockheed Martin's Global, Middle East and Africa regions.
