Managing the world's largest ship registry is not a simple business but Alfonso Castillero does it with passion. "Don't mess with my family or the registry or you will get me very upset," the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) general director of merchant marine told Fairplay. At 37 years of age, Castillero reigns over more than 8,000 vessels flagged in Panama. He's one of the world's youngest register directors and has been working at AMP for almost half of his short career.
