The UK Technology Strategy Board (TSB), together with other agencies in the country, has launched a competition to award up to ￡8M ($ 1OM) in funds to collaborative research and development, fast-track projects, and collaborative projects that can deliver viable solutions for more efficient vessels. The competition is open to collaborations of UK businesses whose work is focused on improving vessel performance and efficiency. This can include applications for existing and future ships, submarines, and their associated equipment and systems. Project values may range from ￡500,000 to ￡3M, although proposals outside this range may be considered.
