Response to Marine Oil Spills, published by the International Tanker Owners Pollution Federation (ITOPF), is now available in hardback and as an e-book. To assist those involved in training programmes, contingency planning, and oil spill response itself, this second edition offers a "completely new" text, claims ITOPF. The book's 12 chapters cover the expected - environmental and economic effects of oil spills, containment, and recovery - and less visited areas, such as quantifying floating oil and the difficult nature of aerial surveillance. Key points are presented in specially designed boxes on almost every page, and references are made to case studies throughout.
