"The more Russia's neighbours, such as China, Kazakhstan and the Baltic States, grow, the more gateways in and out of Russia there will be," Karen Kinsella, UK sales and marketing manager of logistics company GEFCO, told Fairplay during the Multimodal exhibition in Birmingham, UK, last week. Among these neighbours is Latvia. In late March, GEFCO managers met its prime minister Valdis Dombrovskis, to discuss using its ports and transport infrastructure as a gateway for GEFCO into Russia and Central Asia.
