The goal of Christian Lefevre is very clear, he told Fairplay in an exclusive interview: to deliver the Bourbon 2015 plan. That plan calls for a fleet growth from 417 offshore support vessels (OSV) today to 600 and hiring another 4,000 people to add to the existing 8,000. Lefevre was appointed CEO of Bourbon in January specifically for this purpose. Back in 2002 its fleet barely topped 130 vessels. Four years before that, when Bourbon listed on the Paris stock ex change, few would have thought Bourbon would ever become a leading OSV player. "For the first two years after the listing, no-one was interested in us," Lefevre recalled. "We weren't understood by the market. There was no synergy between the different parts of our company. Each part on its own was too small to play a leading role in its sector."
