When one of the propeller blades of a reefer vessel was severely bent, Hydrex mobilized a diver/technician team to Flushing to perform an underwater operation that would restore the propeller's balance and bring its performance back as close to its optimum condition as possible. Straightening the blade was not an option. The affected area on the blade was therefore cropped to restore the hydrodynamic balance. This was done to achieve the greatest possible efficiency for the vessel.
