Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (LDA) and DFDS are not proposing a high price for SeaFrance - just a symbolic €3 ($4.30), comprising €1 for tangible assets, €1 for intangible assets and €1 for goodwill. Christophe Santoni argues, however, that the offer is logical, taking account of the fact that SeaFrance is losing money heavily - €30M a year is his estimate - and unlikely to cease haemorrhaging so for some time.
