Product tankers are enjoying better revenue than crude tankers in the spot market and this is expected to be the position until at least 2014, according to Nicolas Duran, Fearnleys Asia's head of S&P and newbuildings. He told delegates at Marine Money Asia Week in Singapore that this was the consequence of a lighter orderbook-to-fleet ratio and rising tonne-mile demand.
