Beijing's measures to cool down the country's increasing property prices momentarily halted steel price rises, but property speculation remains a problem - millions of people moving from rural to newly-built suburban areas have created something of a real estate price bubble.rnLast month saw a peak in China's steel output - a year-on-year increase of 27% to 55M tonnes. Prices had to go up as well in order for the mills to recoup the much higher price of ore. Quarterly contracts for April-June stood at $ 130/tonne, more than double last year's level, a far cry from China Iron and Steel Association's (CISA) demands to stay well below a 100% increase.
