Sharing information on carbon emissions can benefit both the ocean carrier and its customers. For the carrier, measuring and monitoring emissions can highlight where efficiency improvements need investigation; for customers, it enables comparison of possibilities in their supply chain and demonstration of their environmental credentials to their customers.rnHong Kong-listed Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) is the latest box line to introduce a web-based carbon calculator designed to assist customers measure the CO_2 emissions throughout their supply chain.
