Better planning could reduce logistics costs for the offshore wind energy sector by 8%, according to Andreas Wellbrock, of BLG Logistics.rnSpeaking at the Windforce 10 Conference in Bremerhaven, Wellbrock said cost reductions could be obtained from the standardisation of cargo handling, supply and shipping operations, harmonised IT systems, leaner inventories and outsourcing of packing and pre-assembly work.
