He referred to a website which contains an easy, DIY guide to GPS jamming (see box), and said this could be a major threat to commercial shipping.rnFairplay asked Professor Last whether such advertisements - easy to find on the internet - are alarming. "Yes," he replied, "but this is not novel. Such jammers have existed for a while. I agree with the observations of people who say that there is very little awareness within the maritime industry of the vulnerability of GPS and [the EU satellite system] Galileo. Politicians and policy makers are also not aware of it.
