Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA) president Beth Wilson-Jordan, who took the helm in spring 2008, has a lot on her plate these days.rnThe wide-ranging mission of the CMA includes a full slate of both social networking and educational opportunities, with the annual March conference as its centrepiece.rnWilson-Jordan told Fairplay that the CMA now has over 1,400 members and continues to grow. "In these stressful times, the social side - including many venues for networking and the educational opportunities - is going to be critical,"she said.rnCommunity-building events "are going to be crucial nowrnas everyone tries to keep their spirits up", she added. The president also pointed to the CMA website's Job Board and to the Job Fair that has become an integral part of the annual conference.rnWilson-Jordan, who has previously served as the group's educational chairman, is "particularly proud of the CMA's commitment to education scholarships and internships, which has grown each year".
