As it wrestles economic turmoil, one of the main questions facing Ireland's political class is how the country's inward investment and export volumes can be revived. The former question is particularly important to Ireland's shipping sector.rnHelen Noble, head of shipping law at Matheson Ormsby Prentice, suggests Ireland focus on its service routes. Ireland's shipping is a service industry, she says, and the Irish economy depends on imports and exports. A high proportion of this trade is carried by ship and Irish ports continue to develop and expand.
