ICTSI, the Manila-based container terminal operator, has won the concession to build a second box facility in Manzanillo, Mexico's largest container port. The operator will immediately invest $197M in the project which is expected to cost $565M and add 2M teu/year in capacity to the port on the west coast of Mexico.rnICTSI plans to develop three 360m-long piers and a 72ha container yard. The company already operates Mexican terminals in Veracruz and Ensenada. In Latin America, ICTSI is present in Suape, Brazil, and Guayaquil, Ecuador, and is developing the Aguadulce facility in Buenaventura, Colombia.
