Carnival Cruise Lines president Gerry Cahill is anything but afraid of competition, but also is not a business leader who needs to feel hot breath behind him to keep fire in his belly. "Other cruise lines are leaving the Caribbean. They're all fleeing to Europe. Quite frankly, the more that leave the Caribbean, the happier I am," he confided to Fairplay. Cahill - who assumed the presidency last year upon the retirement of longtime Carnival boss Bob Dickinson - professed comfort with his brand's heavy Caribbean exposure.
