Shipping veteran Captain Subhangshu Dutt has made way for finance expert Alvin Cheng at PST Management, trustee manager of Pacific Shipping Trust, the first business trust to be listed on the Singapore stock exchange. Cheng's appointment took effect on 1 May. Dutt, who had put in 18 years with PST parent Pacific International Lines, was appointed the first CEO of the trust, which was listed in May 2006. After two years, Dutt will be returning to container shipping operator PIL. With financial intricacies increasing at the trust, Dutt told Fairplay that PST would be well served by Cheng. He has more than two decades of working experience in the maritime sector and corporate and investment banking.
