Shipping officials and maritime leaders in Tehran see US sanctions as largely ineffective but also a danger to the lives of seafarers. The general consensus in Tehran is that Iranian companies can largely workaround sanctions imposed by Washington. "Although sanctions are coming day by day,"said Ali Safar Ali, managing director of Bonyad Shipping, "there is always a solution to work around it, and so it does not affect us. We don't face any big problems."
