Poland's government has set a deadline of 5 August for potential investors to submit their bids for the country's troubled shipyards Gdynia and Szczecin.Treasury minister Aleksander Grad told PolsatTV station that many companies had declared an interest in Poland's shipbuilding industry. "A number of letters of intent have been sent in and the interest is clearly there but we shall have to wait and see whether they become more realistic offers. The potential investors will have to submit documents showing that they meet our criteria at the beginning of August," the minister said.
