The publisher Bernard McCall has, over the last decade or more, carved out a niche market for books on the coastal shipping trades and Coasters of Cornwall is the sixth in the popular "Coasters of..." series. This volume is a natural follow-on to Coasters of South Devon and follows the same layout with detailed description of the vessel and its location together with a quality colour photograph (or two). In fact there are nearly 100 carefully selected views of coasters in operation, many of them taken against the backcloth on Cornwall's stunning coastline and its huge variety of ports, some of them still serving traditional Cornish industries.
