Asia is set to be flooded with single hulls. But not necessarily sub-standard tonnage, observed Peter Swift, MD of Intertanko, at the SeaAsia conference. Europe and the US have already indicated that only double-bottomed and double-sided tankers will be allowed to trade in their waters beyond 2010.
