A new safety system to manage vessel traffic through the environmentally sensitive Canary Islands might ironically make the routes more dangerous, Fairway has learned.rnThe islands have implemented IMO-approved rules for a Particularly Sensitive Sea Area (PSSA). Besides a scheme to manage vessel traffic, it involves an data system that controls two new traffic separation ship lanes.
