CHINA imports more than half of its oil. The country has been expanding its tanker fleet and building oil terminals for many years. They have 18 berths for tankers of more than 100,000dwt, with a total discharge capacity exceeding 20SM tonnes.rnTwo of these berths can accommodate ships of 300,000dwt and boast an annual discharge capacity of 36M tonnes.
