Competitions are not always what they seem. There has been much hand-wringing in the UK recently over the naming of a cat for a children's TV programme and phone-in competitions in which - sur-prise, surprise - callers stood little chance of winning. Resignations have even followed. But Fairplay's lucky draw for an iPod at the Europort exhibition earlier this month had no such taint, so the editor's job is safe.
