Even as executives from Dubai Ports World and P&O Ports meet this week in London to round off the asset sale of the British company, DP World's bona fides are being scrutinised across the Atlantic by one US government panel, at least three Congressional committees and a couple of judges. The firestorm of controversy that erupted in the US after a small newspaper story announced the $6.8Bn global sale that includes roles at over 20 US terminals - as well as 20 others in 17 other countries - seems to have been dampened by an offer by DP World to allow for a second round of inquiries into the deal.
