Clarkson's, Ifchor & Freight Investor Services is unveiling its long-overdue forward freight agreement trading platform, called CIF. This FFA project has been plagued by technical problems, but Fairplay has been assured that it will begin operating by the end of May, with no further hitches. "We have had a number of problems, and now we have solved them," Ifchor spokesman Giorgio Martini told Fairplay. "Given that we are launching a multi-broker system, which has never been done before, you would not expect it to be instant."
