Singapore has close links with the UK Hydrographic Office and the partnership has developed further with a new agreement on navigation charts, signed appropriately on the first World Hydrography Day on 7 July. Under the deal, the two countries will jointly develop advanced hydrographic tools and services, including providing mariners with a more efficient and cost-effective means of obtaining crucial hydrographic data against a scenario of rising shipping traffic.
