A philippines court has overturned a disability ruling being contested by ship managers and crewing agents. NYK-Fil Ship Management has successfully appealed against a labour arbitrator's decision to grant full disability benefits to a crewman. A Manila court of appeals nullified the claim of Andre T Rojo, an oiler on the gas carrier Doha, managed at the time by NYK Ship Management in Hongkong, for $60,000 plus litigation and other expenses.
